Water Pipe

My hot water pipe broke early in the morning Thursday last week. I awoke with a strong hissing sound. My first thought, "Oh no, there's a gas leak" Then I thought "Wait, there's no gas in my apartment." So I followed the sound and blindly turned on the bathroom light. This is early in the wee hours of the morning so my eyes are blurred despite me wearing my glasses. I saw steam coming out of my bathroom. That's where the hissing sound is coming from the loudest. I thought, oh no, what's wrong. Then I looked down, gosh, there's so much steam, I can't see. My glasses fogged up quick and I can't see even if I removed them. So I stooped down and blindly groped around. OUCH! It's HOT! Ok, so I turned off the faucet that lets all that hot water out. Ok. Problem solved. But now, my sink does not have hot water. Goodness. Ok, I need to go buy a pipe on my own.

I called the Wu Ye (Facility Maintenance) to help me fix it. They came today. Know what he said, what's wrong with the pipe? Why do you want to replace it. I said, it's leaking. He said, no it's not. I'm like, DUH! I turned the faucet off, that's why its not leaking. He asked me where, and why do I want to change it, I show him where to turn on the faucet and viola, he got burned too. HAHAHA... I'm sooooo bad. Anyway, he changed it for me and told me to turn on the faucet only half way. hehehe

Know what I think, I can change that damn pipe on my own. I should have changed it on my own. I shouldn't have had to ask him to come and fix it. Stupid. Next time, I'm changing it myself. I changed my bathroom bulb all by myself and the kitchen sink pipe on my own. I don't need someone like him to help me change this water pipe. What do you think of me, a maiden who can't help herself. Gosh.... In any case, I've always had my Dad to help me with such household problems but since I've been living on my own for the past 2 years, I've relied on my own capabilities to do so. :D

It's been 2 years and counting since I started living on my own. I can't see it any other way. I just need to be able to visit my family more often than now, then I'm all set. It would be the life! hehehe :D
