Its unfair that I work harder than the others

That's what I heard from my colleague one day. She told me that she's been getting calls left and right and she thinks that its unfair for her to get more calls compared to the rest of the team because she has more skills than the others. Whenever the rest of the team does not get calls, she gets calls from another team and that means she's not taking a rest just like the others. If others can get avail time or rest, how come she can't? She's absolutely right! Totally right.

But how about the others? What about the rest of the people around the world? Don't they get to rest from working real hard? What about doctors who are working more than 24hrs a day on call from emergencies? Don't they get to rest too? How about those who are working to rescue the victims of the Earthquake? Don't they get to rest too. They work hard and harder than the rest of us. Don't they get to just stop and breathe for a few minutes? Then, if we grant them that few minutes, don't you think that the aftershock will not stop just because of that?

I'm blabbering... I can't sleep. I'm trying to sleep but I can't. I just slept for an hour and my throat is itchy, scratchy and blocked. I can't breathe when I'm trying to swallow... But then, I still come to work. Don't you think that's unfair for me too? I even had to take a supervisor call with this awful hoarse voice and even strained my throat more because the customer could not hear me. Then, tell me, oh pray tell, how come its unfair for you to work harder compared to the rest?

If you want it to be fair, let's hail all communism laws and do not have our own opinion and have equality for all. That means, you don't get more than rest of your countrymen, and you also don't get recognition for it. Goodness, and you tell me you want to be promoted.... ahem... how will that be possible?
